The first Preakness took place in 1873, joining the Belmont Stakes (which started in 1867). The inaugural Kentucky Derby was held in 1875, completing the trifecta. The Preakness is the shortest race of the three, with horses running 1 3/16 miles on Baltimore’s famous dirt track. The Kentucky Derby has the next shortest race track (1 1/4 miles) while the Belmont Stakes is the longest of the three races (1 1/2 miles)....

While there is still no official date for Season 4, Season 3’s battle pass is ending in just a couple of weeks on June 2nd. Season 4 may be delayed, but for now, it is pretty safe to assume that it will roll out right on time. That still gives players plenty of time to grind out some battle pass tiers, but it is by no means too early to start getting excited for all the new content that is to come....

Kazuya’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate moveset was largely revealed in the trailer alongside the tongue-in-cheek cinematics. The game’s penchant for creating very faithful adaptations of its guest characters abilities in Smash seems to be on full display with Kazuya. His signature moves like the Twister Kick, Dragon Punch, and even the Tekken mechanic of the 10-Hit Combo all look like near one-to-one adaptations from the Tekken series. The obvious caveat is that Smash Ultimate is a 2D fighter, so moves that would either hit in three dimensions or move a character into the back or foreground don’t do so in this case....

Since the release of Resident Evil 7, fans have been calmly waiting for any news related to Resident Evil 8. This is probably because Capcom has sated its audience with a steady stream of well-received Resident Evil remakes in the form of Resident Evil 2 and the upcoming Resident Evil 3. The RE Engine, introduced with Resident Evil 7, has been powering Capcom’s resurgence as it has been used to develop all three Resident Evil games recently in addition to Devil May Cry 5....

The second Champion is another star from WWE that had some name recognition, Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose). While they did rely on well-known stars to carry the major title in the early stages, they didn’t do the same thing with the Women’s Championship. Riho might be well-known overseas. in Japan and in the rest of Asia, but I don’t know how many casual fans would have known who she was....

Goaltenders like Martin Brodeur, Patrick Roy, Mike Richter, and Henrik Lundqvist have all stolen the show throughout NHL history, with dominant stretches of play that elevated their teams to new levels. In NHL 23, the current crop of elite goaltenders can serve the same purpose, bailing out a player when a poor decision leads to an odd-man rush the other way or helping keep a player competitive when they’re still getting better with the skill sticks....

The modern phenomenon, and social media trend, sees expectant parents discovering whether their baby will be a boy or a girl via a color reveal in front of their friends and family. If the color blue appears then they are to have a son, and if it’s pink they will be welcoming a daughter. There have been many creative ways that people have performed a color reveal. It could be by popping a balloon, cutting a cake or, in the case of a recent viral video, deadlifting a weight....

This summer, Liverpool have been linked with a host of top-notch players, but the Reds have refrained themselves from going hammer and tongs in their pursuit of these stars. Nicolas Pepe, Arsenal’s record signing, was on Jurgen Klopp’s radar, but unfortunately, the Merseysiders never initiated advanced talks with Lille. In spite of a stagnant transfer window, Jurgen Klopp has done a decent job in the market where Real Madrid went berserk and also sniffed around the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah....

Taking into consideration 4 of the topmost clubs in the Premier League, and their choices of POTY from (and including) the 2000-01 season, a starting XI comprising of the best players at each of these clubs can be compiled. This slideshow does the same for the following clubs - Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United. The players selected have all been the POTY in one or more years since 2000-01, and in some cases, the formations may seem dodgy, or the players may have been selected to play out of position, but then, this is an amalgamation of the best talents at these top clubs and not the select XIs based on positional performances!...

Though the win against Watford wasn’t pretty, the team showed that they have what it takes to grind out results. Against Wolves, the team is going to face one of the toughest teams that are outside the top six of the Premier League this season. But where once there was intrigue, now there is bitterness and boredom. Mourinho’s latest 20-minute diatribe in the United States came after weeks of frustration, in which he rattled off barbs at Liverpool, Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba, Antonio Valencia, young players and the transfer window, like some vitriolic Gatling gun with a stuck trigger. You might have noticed the military theme by now. That’s because Mourinho and Manchester United are gearing up for a fight: a fight to stay relevant in a modern gung-ho game as their rivals threaten to vanish over the horizon....

The defeat against Wolves showed the deficiencies that this team has. They were poor at defending set-pieces, slow in transition and defensively they were simply all over the place. Everton have been largely unspectacular so far this campaign. They have been efficient in a few games but to say they have played good football or that the tactical philosophy has changed from previous seasons would be inaccurate. Their woes are clear as they have only won six of their last 17 games in all competitions, and one of those was against League One’s Lincoln in the FA Cup....

The last couple of seasons have seen clubs buying defenders and breaking Premier League transfer records in the process. Manchester City bought John Stones for £47.5m, and went even higher when they bought Benjamin Mendy for £52m. Liverpool then bought Van Dijk for £75m from Southampton, which is the world record for a defender. Defenders these days are important not only for their contribution in stopping goals, but also because more and more managers opt to build their attack from the back....

After defeating Manchester United 0-3 at Old Trafford, the Spurs team was brimming with confidence. Especially considering the fact that they were the only team not to spend a penny over the summer transfer window. In contrast, United had spent £75 million odd. They showed everyone why they should be considered one of the favorites to win the Premier League this year. But their consistency issue came back when Watford (currently 3rd on the table) came from behind to beat them 2-1 before the international break at Vicarage Road Stadium....

Danny Ings opened the scoring at the Emirates Stadium after taking a quick free-kick. The former Liverpool player made no mistake from close range as his side capitalised on Arsenal’s lack of concentration at the back. Although the visitors had chances to double their lead, Lacazette equalised 10 minutes later at the other end of the pitch. This brought some relief and respite for the home team who improved as the game went on....

The phrase has become an omnipresent, short-hand rallying call in modern football, which is somewhat surprising given what followed its most famous use. Steven Gerrard insisted it was what he and his Liverpool team-mates must do just that after a rousing 3-2 victory over Manchester City at Anfield in April 2014. A first Premier League title in 24 years was within reach. “This does not slip!” Gerrard hollered. Only, of course, he did and City won the title....

The 3-0 win signified the Gunners intentions to do as much as they can to secure a highest possible finish in the Premier League, even though manager Arsene Wenger has already admitted that their chances of overtaking their arch rivals Tottenham in fourth place are slim to say the least. The impressive victory in Milan was down to a committed team performance which feature disciplined midfield positioning from the triumvirate of Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere....

The Tigers have been in superb form on their own turf under Marco Silva but suffered a shock 2-0 defeat that was compounded by Paul Clement’s men’s 1-0 triumph over the Toffees in the evening fixture. Hull boss Silva calls for calm Swansea are now out of the bottom three and a point ahead of Hull with two games to play. After his hat-trick against Wolves, Haaland is well on his way to breaking the Premier League record, needing just 10 goals in the 18 matches remaining to eclipse the mark of 34 goals scored in a single season by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer.
