Specifically, PowerWash Simulator’s challenge mode is an offshoot of some of the career levels that test the player’s skills. One of the challenge types is Water Challenge, where players must preserve as much as water as possible while cleaning. This requires a much different approach, so it’s worth keeping some tips in mind.

Use Smaller Nozzles, But Not The Smallest
Preserving water can be rather difficult in a game about unleashing a ton of it. Luckily, PowerWash Simulator has a selection of different nozzles that players can use that provide a different output for spraying the water. There are four nozzles: White, Green, Yellow, and Red.
This order decreases in range, but increases in pressure applied. While it may seem that they easy approach is to just use the red nozzle, it is going to take players a long time to get everything clean, and it may still not be enough for Gold. Using yellow and even green sparingly can still be effective.
Focus On Cleaning In Little Doses
Most of the time, PowerWash Simulator is about spraying water on an object until its clean, with not much more thought behind it. Different players may have their own strategy to how to tackle a larger project, but the goal is always the same of getting it completely spotless.
However, players need to be much more strategic with how they apply their washer because each use of it must take out grime. Taking a challenge in small doses by focusing on clearing smaller sections of the dirty object can help keep water totals low.
Don’t Spray Anywhere But Dirty Surfaces
As indicated in the previous entries, players really need to think about how they are spraying their washer. Every last drip counts, and it could be the difference between getting a gold medal and getting nothing at all.
When playing PowerWash Simulator’s career mode, it is very easy to let the water keep running while jumping around to different areas racking up money. However, be careful that water isn’t spraying already clean parts of the object, or even just spraying the air. This will likely tank the challenge and will lead to a restart.
Take Your Time
While there are time challenges available for players to try if they want to see how fast they can clean something without any other limitations, there is no time limit on the water challenge. Just like in career mode, PowerWash Simulator offers these water challenges with no unnecessary stressors.
Because the game is kind in that sense, take advantage of it. Don’t rush through the challenge thinking water will easily be preserved. Mistakes will be made, so go at a reasonable pace that allows for creating a solid game plan while also not taking hours to clean the smallest surface of dirt.
PowerWash Simulator is out now on Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
